Peyton Manning Gets Ready For Super Bowl XLIV Against The New Orleans Saints

Well, as I type this post, it is friday morning, February 5, 2010. We are just two days away from Super Bowl XLIV. And if you are an NFL fan like myself, you probably can hardly wait for the game to start. I know I can't wait!!

This game features two powerhouse offenses. The Indianapolis Colts are lead by super star quarterback Peyton Manning. The New Orleans Saints have a pretty good quarterback themselves in Drew Brees.

Both teams are loaded with solid wide receivers. The Colts feature Reggie Wayne, rookie Austin Collie, who had a huge game in the AFC Championship game against the New York Jets and Pierre Garcon.

The New Orleans Saints have a potent attack as well and their group of wide receivers are very good players. They are lead by Marques Colston, Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem. And the Saints also have Reggie Bush coming out of the backfield.

With so many weapons on each team, this is a very hard game to pick a winner from. It may come down to whoever has the ball last wins. But the Colts have one man that stands out and we all know who that is. Peyton Manning! He is just an amazing player and I think he will slowly but surely chop away at the Saints defense and the Colts will win Super Bowl XLIV.

My final score prediction is Colts 31, Saints 24. And the Super Bowl MVP will be who else? Peyton Manning. We shall see in about 63 hours hours from now.

Peyton Manning May Be The Best NFL Quarterback Of All Time

As I start this blog, Peyton Manning and his Indianapolis Colts are playing the San Francisco 49ers in week 8 of the 2009 NFL season. The Colts are leading the Niners 18-14 (Weird score) in the fourth quarter.

Now the game has gone final and the Colts ended up beating the 49ers by the 18-14 score. Peyton Manning didn't throw for any touchdowns, but he did throw for 347 yards and was 31 of 48 in passing attempts in a hard fought game against the up and coming San Francisco 49ers.

This game just proves what a great quarterback Peyton Manning really is. Yeah, he didn't throw any TD passes but he didn't make any mistakes either as he had no interceptions. And somehow, some way he found a way to lead his team to victory.

Peyton Manning is in his 12th NFL season and he has put up some absolutely insane numbers in his career. Let's take a look at them now, shall we?

Not counting today's game, the football reference website reports that Peyton Manning has 47,508 passing yards with 348 touchdowns and counting for his career. This guy IS, and has been, the Indianapolis Colts franchise for 12 seasons...period!

And Peyton Manning's 1998 rookie cards are on fire. If you are looking to get some of Peyton's higher end rookies, be prepared to shell out some serious cash. Especially his PSA and BGS graded cards. Below, we will take a look at some of Peyton Manning's best rookie cards from a few of the 1998 football card sets that were produced.

Peyton Manning Rookie Cards. Cream Of The Crop.

As I start this discussion of the best Manning 1998 rookie cards, I figured why not start with the "Cream of the crop"! Which would be the 1998 Playoff Contenders AUTO Peyton Manning rookie card.

Imagine if you would have purchased this card back when it first came out in 1998! You would probably have some serious dividends to collect right now as it has sky-rocketed in value and is THE best Peyton Manning rookie card in my opinion.

Just in case you are looking for one of these beauty's in a PSA grade, and you are very wealthy and have lots of extra income, then click here and view and drool over this gorgeous copy of a 1998 Contenders Peyton Manning AUTO rookie card that is graded a PSA 9 mint.

If you are like me and can't afford the above card, then take a look into some of Peyton Manning's less expensive rookie cards that I will list in this blog.

Peyton Manning 1998 Bowman's Best Rookie Card.

If you can't afford the Contenders or the Bowman Chrome Peyton Manning rookie card, then check into getting this Peyton Manning Bowman's Best rookie issue.

Another great action shot of a baby-faced Peyton Manning as he drops back for a pass during his tough 1998 season. I really like the deep color combinations of this card as it really catches your eye. The Colts deep blue uniforms are simply beautiful, especially with the number 18 on the back. I know, that was corny. But how else can anyone explain the best NFL quarterback in the game right now.

1998 Topps Chrome Peyton Manning Rookie Card

Another solid issue is this 1998 Topps Chrome Peyton Manning rookie card. It features a cool action shot of Peyton jumping in the air as the photo was taken.

Topps Chrome is always a solid, well produced set that is usually loaded with some great rookie cards. Whether it's football, baseball or basketball. Picking up one of these 1998 Chrome Peyton rookies will make your collection even better, imo.

1998 Bowman Chrome Peyton Manning Rookie Card

When it comes to collecting Peyton Manning rookie cards, you really can't go wrong with whatever issue you decide to get and collect! Even his lower end rookie cards that are not as expensive as his Contenders issue.

For instance, the 1998 Peyton Manning Bowman Chrome rookie card is a really nice looking card of a young Peyton. I really like this set and it also features a solid looking Randy Moss rookie card as well. But Peyton's rookies are the engine that drives all of the 1998 sets. Not Randy Moss, Hines Ward or anybody else.

Peyton Manning Autograph Cards On Fire

Peyton Manning rookie cards are on fire but that's not all. Manning non-rookie autograph cards are selling real well on eBay as you can see from the auctions below this post.

I picked up a few of them myself and put them away. Just think about it for a second. If Peyton Manning can stay healthy and play for a few more years, he will most likely crush Dan Marino's all-time NFL passing records. Just think what his autograph will be worth once he accomplishes that and gets inducted into the football hall of fame. Like I said in the post above, you can't go wrong collecting Peyton Manning rookie cards and autographs.
