As I start this blog, Peyton Manning and his Indianapolis Colts are playing the San Francisco 49ers in week 8 of the 2009 NFL season. The Colts are leading the Niners 18-14 (Weird score) in the fourth quarter.
Now the game has gone final and the Colts ended up beating the 49ers by the 18-14 score. Peyton Manning didn't throw for any touchdowns, but he did throw for 347 yards and was 31 of 48 in passing attempts in a hard fought game against the up and coming San Francisco 49ers.
This game just proves what a great quarterback Peyton Manning really is. Yeah, he didn't throw any TD passes but he didn't make any mistakes either as he had no interceptions. And somehow, some way he found a way to lead his team to victory.
Peyton Manning is in his 12th NFL season and he has put up some absolutely insane numbers in his career. Let's take a look at them now, shall we?
Not counting today's game, the football reference website reports that Peyton Manning has 47,508 passing yards with 348 touchdowns and counting for his career. This guy IS, and has been, the Indianapolis Colts franchise for 12 seasons...period!
And Peyton Manning's 1998 rookie cards are on fire. If you are looking to get some of Peyton's higher end rookies, be prepared to shell out some serious cash. Especially his PSA and BGS graded cards. Below, we will take a look at some of Peyton Manning's best rookie cards from a few of the 1998 football card sets that were produced.
